Frequently Asked Questions
What documents do I need to rent a car?
A valid, original driving licence held for at least 2 years, in English, Latin or Roman alphabet, plus valid photo ID (passport or national ID). Digital driving licences are not accepted — a physical licence is required. If your licence isn't in English, Latin or Roman alphabet, you'll also need an International Driving Permit.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes. A refundable security deposit is pre-authorised on the main driver's credit card at pickup — this reserves the funds rather than charging them, and they're released back to you afterwards. The amount depends on your protection package: Premium comes with a much lower deposit than Basic or Plus. Release of the hold usually takes 5–15 days after return, depending on your bank.
What insurance/protection options do you offer?
Three levels: Basic, Plus, and Premium Protection. Basic is the cheapest but has the highest Damage and Theft excess amounts; Premium costs more to purchase but comes with 0 excess and a much lower security deposit.
What payment cards do you accept?
Credit cards are accepted with any protection package. Debit cards are only accepted if you've chosen Premium Protection — Basic and Plus require a credit card. Whichever card you use must be in the main driver's name, have sufficient available funds to cover the excess, and an expiry date at least 2 months past your return date.
What is your fuel policy?
Full-to-full — please return the vehicle with the same fuel level it had at pickup. Missing fuel is charged at €3 per litre plus a €25 refuelling fee.
Can I cancel my booking, and will I get a refund?
Yes — cancellations must be submitted in writing through your account on our website (not by phone). Refund terms depend on your protection package: Basic is non-refundable; Plus refunds on a sliding scale (the prepaid amount minus an admin fee if cancelled 7+ days before pickup, 50% at 3–6 days, 25% at 2 days, no refund inside 24 hours); Premium is free to cancel up to 48 hours before your pickup time.
What happens if I return the car late?
There's a 1-hour grace period. Beyond that, an additional charge applies and is taken from the card on file for your security deposit — the return day/time you selected at booking is enforced regardless of when you picked the vehicle up.
Is smoking allowed in the vehicle?
No — all our vehicles are strictly non-smoking. A minimum fee of €150 (incl. VAT) applies if there's evidence of smoking, including lingering smoke or ash.
Can I pick up in one city and drop off in another?
One-way rentals are available at some of our locations for an additional fee. When you search, the site automatically shows only the drop-off locations actually available for a one-way rental from your pickup point, with the surcharge already included in the price shown — if your desired drop-off isn't listed, that route isn't available.
